Lieutenants Paul Brutto and James Markiewicz were awarded the Spirit Of Courage Award from the Burn Prevention Foundation. Paul is a Truck Lt. on the Tower and James is a Lt. with the West End. Both officers rescued a disabled man from his burning apartment back in May.

Tonight as part of the Companies weekly training crews practiced on RIT operations. Crews practiced on downed firefighter removal and also went over equipment used on RIT responses. The training lasted two hours and was attended by 12 personnel.

Today members participated in the annual young guys verse old guys softball games. The young guys won the series two games to one. The games were held at the Bavarian Ball field in Barnesville. After the game the members enjoyed a family oriented picnic at the company grove.

Tonight crews took the Engine and Tower to the County Fire School to work with the Engine and Towe. 13 members participated in the three hour training which consisted of Pumping, Operating the Tower, Hoseline and Hydrant work.
